It's that time of year again

I had a nice long break from sports this summer. I loved having my Saturdays back. Now the break is over. School is back in session and you know what that means - Fall sports! For Darrius, it's soccer. Today was the first game of the season.  The weather sucked. It was overcast, windy and chilly. And the game was at 9am. Thank goodness I could walk to the field from my house. I'm so happy about that! The boys do not like the color of their uniforms; the colors are a little girlie. So to combat the girlie-colored uniforms, they came up with a non-girlie name for their team - The Assassins. They had a great first game. They won 9-2. Darrius scored a goal off a corner kick. I was so proud. The first half of the game he played left mid-fielder. Second half he was a defender. I hope the weather is a little bit better for next week's game. If not, I'll be watching the game from the inside of my car.
